We are excited to announce that ADWISE Consulting has begun work on a significant new project: “Armenia: Enabling Climate-Smart Regional and Local Infrastructure Development in Selected Communities.” This project, implemented within the framework of contract awarded by the World Bank, aligns with Armenia’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030, as part of its updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
The project focuses on three communities: Areni, Dilijan, and Goris. The goal is to help the communities identify and prioritize climate-smart investments that will enhance the resilience of infrastructure in these areas, as well as reduce emissions. To achieve this, ADWISE Consulting will develop Climate-Smart Action Plans (C-SAPs) tailored to each community. These plans will outline specific actions, timelines, and budgeting needed to implement effective climate-resilient and low-carbon projects.
Our work includes a comprehensive review of existing policies, a diagnostic assessment of climate risks, and development of actionable recommendations to improve the uptake of sustainable investments. Engaging with key stakeholders, including local and national authorities, is a vital part of the process to ensure that our efforts are aligned with Armenia’s broader sustainable development goals.
This project marks a significant step towards a more sustainable and resilient future for Armenia’s communities, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this important work in partnership with the World Bank.
