Advancing Green Forest Recovery in Armenia: ADWISE Consulting’s Role in a GCF-Funded Project

ADWISE Consulting, in consortium with E.Co Ltd, is supporting Environmental Project Implementation Unit (EPIU) on behalf of GCF in developing a GCF Funding Proposal for the “Fuelling Green Recovery in Armenia – Advancing Forest Infrastructure and Creating Sustainable Jobs for Rural Communities” project.

The initiative will focus on addressing critical challenges such as deforestation, environmental degradation, and climate resilience across the regions of Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Shirak, and Gegharkunik. The project’s objectives are structured around three key outcomes:

1. Advancing national forest infrastructure and expanding forest cover
2. Promoting climate-adaptive forest management, agroforestry practices, and Non-Timber Forest Product (NTFP) systems
3. Fostering knowledge management solutions in the forest sector to enable long-term capacity building and sustainable investments

As part of these efforts, a national-level stakeholder workshop was conducted, during which, project experts presented the project objectives and facilitated round-table discussions to gather valuable insights on challenges and opportunities foreseen by the stakeholders.

The feedback collected during this session will play a crucial role in shaping the project proposal and ensuring its successful implementation.
